Starting in early March 2015, Florian Hofmann and Johannes Willmann will set out to ride their bicycles from Beijing, China to Stuttgart, Germany. They expect this journey to take about half a year, covering about 14 000 km.
Florian Hofmann is 24 years old and a student of Geoecology at the University of Tübingen. Excursions to Lapland, China, and Russia have shaped him to become a survival expert. As a voluntary ranger in the Black Forest National Park he introduces visitors to sustainability. By cycling across Asia and Europe he wants to take sustainability to a whole new level.
Johannes Willmann is 24 years old and a student of Political Science at the University of Konstanz. Climbing, hiking, and long bicycle tours are his big passions. Since he cycled through Scandinavia and from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean across the United States he has dreamt about completing the loop around the northern hemisphere.
